The information is provided by Fonebuyer and while we endeavour to keep the information up to date and correct, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability with respect to the website or the information, products, services, or related graphics contained on the website for any purpose. Any reliance you place on such information is therefore strictly at your own risk.

In no event will we be liable for any loss or damage including without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any loss or damage whatsoever arising from loss of data or profits arising out of, or in connection with, the use of this website.

Consumers

  • By placing an order through our site, you warrant that
  • You are resident in Great Britain or Northern Ireland;
  • You are accessing our site from that country;
  • You are legally capable of entering into a binding contract;
  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • If you are under 18 years of age, you must have obtained a parent’s or a guardian’s consent to sell the phone to us for the sum indicated via this website.
  • You and your parents or guardians release us of any liabilities or claims that may arise if you send the phones to us in breach of this warranty.

If you deal as a consumer any provision of this contract which is of no effect to a consumer shall not apply. Your statutory rights are not affected by this contract.

Recycling Mobiles Terms and Conditions

Working Phones

To receive the full value of your mobile phone, it should: -

  • The phone must switch on and off
  • The phone must make and receive phone calls
  • The phone must not have any security or pin codes
  • The phone must be complete with all battery covers and bodywork.
  • The integral body work should have no cracked, missing plastics / metal and there should be no missing buttons.
  • The body work should not be hanging off the main body of the phone in any way.
  • The LCD must be working and power up correctly and fully beyond the network 'Welcome Note', the screen intact with no cracks.
  • The LCD must have no lines or missing pixels
  • The screen must be intact with no cracks
  • Phones should not have liquid damage.
  • A white screen does not constitute a working phone.
  • If the phone has a touch screen the touch screen must be fully functional.
  • The battery should be included and hold charge.
  • Basically the phone must have NO FAULTS to be paid the "working price"
  • iPhones must be of UK origin and have no pin codes. The back housing must also be intact and not cracked. Cracks around charging port and side/volume switch will result in iPhone being graded as non-working, a reduced price will be offered
  • The Mobile phone must also not be registered as lost, stolen or blocked/barred we check phones by www.checkmend.com/uk

Non-Working Phone

To receive the Non-Working value of your mobile phone, it should: -

  • The mobile phone must not be crushed
  • The mobile phone must not be broken in half
  • The mobile phone must not be bent in any way
  • The mobile phone must not be liquid damaged
  • No integral parts such as camera, LCD etc. should be missing
  • No integral parts should be detached from the main body of the phone in any way or be missing

BER (Beyond Economical Repair)

  • Liquid Damaged
  • Broken / Missing Parts
  • Crushed
  • SIM glued in
  • Memory card glued in
  • Fake / Counterfeit Phones

 Pricing

Prices offered on our website are subject to change at any time without notice.

When your order has been placed, the prices quoted are guaranteed for 14 days from the 'Order Created’ date. If your phones are received after 14 days from the 'Order Created’ date, the up-dated, current prices will apply.

A reduced price will be offered on mobile phones which do not meet the above criteria.  We will inform you via email to let you know. You have the right to reject this offer at any time within a 7 day period and we will send the mobile phone back to you after an administration fee of £7.99 is paid.

By submitting an order through our site you warrant that the phone(s) comply with these terms. If a phone fails to meet our terms and conditions we'll propose an adjusted price by email. If you choose to decline our new offer, we are happy to return the phone. A delivery charge will be applicable. We have the final decision on all phone values.

Damaged mobile phones

We can still pay you for your damaged mobile phones but the values offered will be less than those listed on the site. Damaged mobile phones should be sold as Non-Working, and meet the Non-Working Phone criteria. The stated Non-Working price will be paid.

BER (Beyond Economical Repair)

Zero to 10% of working price value for all handsets that are BER will be paid

Lost/Stolen/Barred mobile phones (Blacklisted Mobiles)

We support CheckMEND, a crime protection database created to track lost, stolen and barred mobile phones. If we receive any mobile phones that are registered on their database as lost, stolen or barred they will be disposed of unless proof of ownership can be supplied.

Suitable proof of ownership would be documentation such as supplier contract or written confirmation from the Police showing that the IMEI is incorrectly registered as lost, stolen or barred. The documentation would need to show that the matching unique IMEI number of the mobile phone sold is your property. The block will also have to be removed by Checkmend. Upon receipt of this information and the block removed by checkmend. We can return the mobile phone to you after an administration fee of £7.99 is paid.

If we do not receive such documentation from you within 28 days your mobile phone will be disposed of.

If you feel the information held by CheckMEND is incorrect please email CheckMEND at support@checkmend.com or call them on 08700 112 850 with all the details including the IMEI number and they will assist you.

SIM cards

Please ensure you remove your SIM card before sending us your mobile phone as SIM cards contain personal details. We will not accept liability if SIM cards are sent with the handset and any charges are incurred before or after receipt of your handset. Unfortunately once we have received SIM cards we are unable to return them.

Memory cards

Please ensure you remove your memory card before sending us your mobile phone. Unfortunately once we have received memory cards we are unable to return them.

Data

Please note that it is your responsibility to remove data from your mobile phone(s) before you send them to us. Such data includes, for example, personal details, SMS, photos, games, songs or any other data.

Note that we accept no responsibility in relation to the security, protection, confidentiality or use of such data and it is your responsibility to ensure that such data is removed from your phone prior to sending it to us. Any data found on any phone will be deleted upon testing.

Payments

Where possible we endeavour to make all payments within 2 working days from the day your mobile phone has completed tested and confirmed to meet our terms and conditions. At busy times of the year we cannot guarantee payment within this period. All payments are non-transferable and we reserve the right to withdraw offers with no notice.

Payments will be sent to the name and address you provided when you submitted your order.

Cheque payments will be sent via 1st class Royal Mail post.

If you have chosen to be paid via bank transfer then it is the responsibility of the customer to enter the correct account number and sort code.

If you have chosen to be paid via PayPal you must have an active PayPal account.  We do not take responsibility for customers that enter incorrect PayPal account details.

From time to time we will change the offer values of mobile phones on the website with no notice. If you sell a mobile phone we will pay the value on the date of sale.

Postal damage and loss

We do not take any responsibility for the loss or damage to mobile phones before receipt at our warehouse.

We strongly recommend that all our customers pack their mobile phones to minimise the risk of damage. The prepaid envelope does not guarantee that the mobile phone will be received in the same condition as when it was sent. In addition we suggest that all mobile phones sent to us come by Special Delivery. In the event that a package is received in a damaged state at our warehouse, the damaged package will be returned to the customer in order that they can make a claim for the loss directly from Royal Mail. By sending the package back to the customer we do not guarantee that the claim will be successful and we cannot take any liability for any claims which are refused by external parties. Returns

We are unable to return mobile phones that are sent to us and are accepted at full price or after a customer accepts a mobile phone value at a lower price.

Mobile phones will be returned to customers only if a lower price is offered and rejected within the 5 day period. Please note: all personal data from your mobile phone(s) may be deleted if you request your mobile phone(s) to be returned. We send all returned mobile phones via Royal Mail recorded post.

Events Outside Of Our Control

We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under a contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control or due to our compliance with any applicable laws or regulations.
